Panama to Grant Concessions Over Airports

The Government of Panama has confirmed its intention to grant a concession over various airports including the cities of Colon, David and Rio Hato with the objective of improving their operative efficiency, reduce the Estate’s financial costs and increase the profitability of these terminals.
The process will be made through an international public tender that is expected to take place within the next 60 to 90 days.
It has also been proposed that Colon’s Airport be used exclusively for cargo operations with possible alliances with international carriers.
