Alexandros’ practice spans across both contentious and non-contentious matters with demonstrable long experience in representing international and Greek clients, including public and private companies, leading multinational as well as large Greek companies and individuals, in high profile matters on most areas of commercial transactions and business disputes with particular focus on aviation law, agency and distribution agreements, commercial sales and leases, companies and corporations, competition law, consumer protection, data protection, insurance law, intellectual property and trademarks, IT and telecommunications, maritime law  and transport of goods.

Alexandros has been a partner in the law firm PPT Legal since 1991 and has been a member of the Athens Bar since 1976. He obtained his law degree from the Law School of the University of Thessaloniki and his Ph.D. in Commercial and Maritime Law from the Law School of the University of Athens.  He is also a collaborator of the Greek Institute of International and Foreign Law, a member of the Association of Commercial Lawyers, a member of the Board of Directors and General Secretary of the Greek Section of the International Association for Insurance Law (AIDA), a member of the European Air Law Association and a member of the Greek Maritime Law Association, the Greek Section of the Comitè Maritime International (CMI). Alexandros’ work has been praised among peers and he has been consistently receiving awards from numerous publications in recent years such as Corporate USA Today, M&A Today, Corporate LiveWire, Acquisition International and Finance Monthly. He is fluent in Greek and English and also knows fairly well French, German and Italian.

In the area of aviation Alexandros has an extensive experience. He has handled numerous cases and claims against air carriers and airlines and also he has been handling aviation law matters since the liberalization of the market in the early nineties up to this date, both in the area of international aviation transactions (sale and purchase agreements, dry and wet-lease agreements, mortgage agreements et al.), as well as in aviation litigation, in disputes between aircraft owners, lessees and financiers and also in a number of judicial and extra-judicial repossession of aircraft cases.

In addition, Alexandros has researched and published extensively on aviation law matters, with books, articles, essays, contributions in collective works and other publications, including a) the Greek Chapter of the Guide for “Repossession of Aircraft and Insolvency in EC Countries”, an Industry Report edited by Sinclair Roche and Temperley and published by Lloyd’s of London Press Ltd. (1993), b) the Greek Chapter of “Aircraft Liens & Detention Rights”, Sweet & Maxwell, London, 1998 with updates (last update 2020), c) the Greek Chapter of “Aircraft Finance Registration, Security and Enforcement”, Longman, 1988 with updates (last update 2020) and, d) the essay with the title Aircraft Liens And Detention Rights Over Aircraft According to Greek Law, published in the Liber Amicorum in Honor of Ioannis K. Rokas, Athens, 2017, p. 523 et seq. (in Greek). Finally, Alexandros is the author of among others the book “The Law of Road, Rail and Air Transports”, Athens, 1994, p. 383 (in Greek).
