She seats in the Board of Directors of the following companies and associations: Assets Trust & Corporate Services, a trust company regulated by the Superintendency of Banks of Panama; Sunstar Hotels and Development S.A., hotel owner located at the Pacific side of Panama; Asociación de Abogados Internacionales, one of the main Panamanian law firm professionals associations related to corporate services and financial services, having the main purpose to participate in the drafting of laws that preserve the country’s competitiveness; Asociación de Residentes, Propietarios y Usuarios de Isla Contadora (ARPUIC),  a non-profit association whose objective is the maintenance, protection and sustainability of Isla Contadora Island.  

 

In the field of Aviation Law, María de Lourdes advises financial institutions, owners and aircraft lessors in acquisition, financing, registration, regulatory, commercial leasing issues of private and commercial aircrafts. She is the author of the article “Aircraft Liens and Detention Rights” for the Panama section of publishing house Sweet and Maxwell; and of “Getting the Deal Through – Aviation Finance & Leasing since 2014, Panama Chapter” published by Law Business Research.
