EALA Liability Seminar, Paris
EALA is delighted to invite you to attend its 14th Liability Seminar, to be held in Paris. Over many centuries, Paris has hosted, and will continue to host, spectacular monuments and activities. Among these are developments in aviation, including aviation law.
As early as 23rd April 1784 a police directive was issued which was aimed exclusively at the balloons of the Montgolfier Brothers: flights were not to take place without prior authorisation. The purpose of this measure was of course to protect the population. In the early 1900s, the French jurist Paul Fauchille suggested that a code of international air navigation be created by the ‘Institut de droit international’. Interestingly, this was one of the rare instances where legal process went ahead of technology. On 31st January 2025, we aim at achieving that prospective vision again
As usual, we start with a pre-conference dinner on the evening of 30th January 2025 to be held at Aéro-Club de France, Paris.
