Trowers & Hamlins’ asset finance team advises operators, banks and lessors across the Middle East, Africa, North America, Europe and the Indian subcontinent on all asset finance and aviation related matters.  The firm has recognised strength in Islamic finance expertise including advising on Islamic structures for aircraft acquisitions.  The firm regularly advises on local law issues in respect of traditional and export credit backed financings, sale and lease agreements as well as regulatory matters such as registration, Cape Town and customs matters.  The firm has also advised a major regional airline on the reflagging of its fleet from Oman to Bahrain and has been heavily involved in the privatisation of Seeb and Salalah airports including the ground handling and cargo handling arrangements following the privatisation.
