May Jurisdictional Update, Bahamas

Keith Major and Andre Hill, Higgs & Johnson, The Bahamas

COVID Response and Airport Updates

Keith Majors and Andre Hill, representing Higgs & Johnson, The Bahamas:

From Keith: There have been some liberalizations in the COVID response, mainly with domestic airline travel. The government still requires travel visas for foreign travel into Bahamas. Testing requirements for the PCR test have also been relaxed. Also interestingly, we hosted members of the International section of the Florida Bar Annual Retreat in Bimini at the end of April and into May.

From Andrew Andre Hill: The government in the Bahamas just started a public/private partnership procurement process for the Grand Bahama International Airport. Grand Bahama is the second most populated island in the Bahamas and a bit of a business center. It means a bit of an upgrade to the airport there.
