Montanios & Montanios (M&M) is one of the oldest law firms in Cyprus with international practice. For more than seven decades it has acted on a wide spectrum of clients, both corporate and private and has been involved in multiple local and international shipping, corporate, financing, commercial and aviation transactions.

Since 1981, M&M has acted for major international aircraft leasing corporations, international banks and owners in connection with all Cypriot aspects of international aircraft transactions that involve the leasing, sale, financing and mortgaging of aircraft.

On various occasions, the Firm has been instructed for the registration and deregistration of aircraft in the Cyprus Register as well as for the incorporation and administration in Cyprus of companies owning and leasing aircraft.

The Firm’s lawyers Eric Montanios and Elvina Montanios contributed the Cyprus chapters featured in “Aircraft Finance – Registration, Security and Enforcement” and “Aircraft Liens and Detention Rights“. Both are now published by Sweet & Maxwell, London, with the said lawyers continuing to update the Cyprus chapters regularly.
