Chongquing, China – May 31, 2019 – L2b Aviation is pleased to announce that the Chongquing, China representative office of de Bedin & Lee LLP (dBL) has joined its worldwide network of premier aviation law firms. dBL is a well-established member of L2b Aviation with their Hong Kong headquarters, and now expand their involvement with the aviation law network to include China.

Following developments earlier in 2019 (for further details please see “Recent developments in aircraft repossession”), aircraft repossession has continued to be in the spotlight – yet again with regard to the Oceanair Linhas Aéreas SA(commonly known as ‘Avianca Brazil’) bankruptcy and, in particular, the experience of lessors that sought repossession of leased aircraft therefrom.

Commercial drone flights are expected to be a future market worth billions. Considering this prospect, the German air traffic control company Deutsche Flugsicherung (DFS) and the largest telecoms provider in Europe, Deutsche Telekom, have established a joint venture, Droniq, to operate remote-controlled long-haul flights. DFS is the majority shareholder in this joint venture.

Recent reports suggest that the need to remedy defects in a faulty fire prevention system and other construction faults will further delay the opening of the new Berlin Brandenburg International Airport.
