Israel’s S. Horowitz & Co. Joins L2b Aviation

Tel Aviv, Israel: L2b Aviation is pleased to announce that S. Horowitz & Co. has joined its worldwide network of premier aviation law firms under the leadership of Hugh Kowarsky and Eyal Doron. Founded in 1921, S. Horowitz & Co. is one of Israel’s premier law firms with an unwavering focus on fulfilling clients’ business objectives and a reputation for providing excellence, speed, and efficiency. The team of lawyers is multilingual and international—many have practiced throughout the United States, England, South Africa, and elsewhere—and the firm’s clientele includes well-established Israeli and international companies in an array of industries, including energy, banking/finance, aviation/transport, media, real estate, infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, consumer products, and more.

By adhering to its commitment to provide services of the highest professional standards, S. Horowitz & Co. has sought to maintain its ingrained tradition throughout its 100-year history, while adapting its needs to take into account 21st-century advanced technologies and developments, all of which have enhanced its reputation and rich experience. The firm is recognized as a leader in its field by both Israeli and international ranking directories such as Chambers Global and The European Legal 500.

Aviation law has been a part of the firm’s practice since the early 1950s. Among their first clients was British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC), which began operating flights to the region in 1940 and merged with British European Airways in 1974 to form British Airways PLC (still a client to this day). In the years that followed, the firm’s Aviation and Transport Group accumulated extensive experience advising clients in these fields, providing both matter-specific and ongoing legal counsel to foreign and national airlines, satellite operators, suppliers of rolling stock, and suppliers of international courier and transportation services. Areas of expertise include general corporate work, tenders, negotiation of commercial and operational agreements, acquisition and financing transactions, regulatory matters, and court proceedings involving industry-specific disputes and liability claims.

About Hugh Kowarsky:

Hugh has considerable transactional and litigation experience spanning aviation law, intellectual property, investment banking and financial services, securities law, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate law. He co-heads the firm’s Aviation and Transport Group, where his work has been recognized as “very impressive, intelligent, and professional” (The Legal 500). He regularly advises airlines and courier companies on legal, regulatory, and contractual issues affecting the transport and aviation industry.

About Eyal Doron:

Eyal co-heads the firm’s Aviation and Transport Group. He is a commercial litigator with extensive experience acting for international and domestic clients on a broad range of civil, contractual, and commercial matters before the entire range of Israeli courts. He also appears before national and international arbitration tribunals. Eyal has represented clients in both Israel and the United States on a wide array of complex commercial disputes, including contractual disputes, corporate and shareholder disputes, complicated tort actions (including professional negligence claims), global product liability claims, and class actions.
