Joaquín Varela advises clients on a broad range of commercial and corporate law matters, assisting both domestic and international businesses with their day-to-day legal needs as well as strategic business transactions. His practice focuses on providing practical and business-oriented legal solutions, with experience advising companies on corporate governance, commercial agreements, business structuring, and other matters arising from the operation and growth of commercial enterprises.
Throughout his career, Joaquín has represented clients across various industries, developing experience in the negotiation, drafting, and review of commercial contracts, as well as in corporate matters involving the organization and administration of companies. His approach combines technical legal knowledge with a strong understanding of business objectives, enabling him to provide effective and efficient legal support tailored to each client’s needs.
Joaquín joined MICP Abogados as an Associate in 2025. He earned his law degree from the Universidad de Concepción in 2016. In furtherance of his specialization in business law, he completed both a Diploma in Mergers and Acquisitions and a Diploma in Commercial Companies and Businesses at the Universidad de Los Andes in 2022.
